eSIM Metric

Affiliate Disclosure

How esimmetric.com earns commissions from provider links at no extra cost to you — and why rankings stay honest.

How we earn

eSIM Metric is free to use. When you click "Get Plan" and complete a purchase with a provider such as Airalo or GigSky, we may receive a commission from that provider’s affiliate program ( Travelpayouts ). You pay exactly the same price you would pay by going direct — sometimes less, thanks to tracked promotions.

What this does NOT mean

Commission does not influence rankings. "Best Value" and "Cheapest" badges are computed from objective numbers (price, price-per-GB, validity) with a documented formula. Providers without a public price feed (Yesim, Saily, Drimsim) are listed with ratings and links but no price table — we do not fabricate numbers to earn clicks.

Transparency

Every outbound link contains an anonymous tracking parameter ("sub_id") that records only the language, provider and page of the click. It contains no personal data. You are free to visit the provider’s website directly if you prefer.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an eSIM and how does it work?

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM profile built directly into your smartphone hardware. You simply scan a QR code to activate mobile data instantly without swapping physical plastic cards.

Can I keep my WhatsApp and original phone number?

Yes. Travel eSIMs only handle mobile data. Your primary phone number remains active for SMS, phone calls, and messaging apps like WhatsApp or Telegram.

When should I install my eSIM before traveling?

We recommend installing your eSIM before departure using Wi-Fi at home or the airport. The validity period usually begins only when you connect to a supported local network at your destination.
